Hello!
I am Franziska Bernadette, the creative force behind the small wickerwork label from Karlsruhe. I create sculptural wickerwork from the natural material rattan. In my work, I try to break away from traditional, rigidly woven weaving techniques and reinterpret them. In doing so, I weave very intuitively, resulting in spontaneous, organic woven works. Each of my objects is therefore unique.

The skilful integration of light sources such as light bulbs or spotlights creates an impressive interplay between light and shadow. I see my work as a synthesis of art, craftsmanship and design – a harmonious interface that combines modern wickerwork with unique light art.
Philosophy
For me, design means creating a unique object through the fusion of art object and functional object. In doing so, I turn away from the throwaway society and fast, cheap and short-term consumption.
My peaces are made for those who love craftsmanship and are not only interested in the process of creation but also appreciate a long-lasting unique product. Franziska Bernadette Bernadette stands for Slow Interior. Each rattan lamp is a unique piece and is made with precise handwork.

The sculptural lights add a special atmosphere to any home. Whether ceiling, pendant or wall lights, they all spread a warm and pleasant light and project beautiful shadows onto the walls. They can be combined with a wide variety of furnishing styles and are a special eye-catcher in any room.
